But, I am.

I don’t necessarily desire to be gay. But I am.
I do not wish to be weak. But I am.
I try not to be easily angered. But I am.
I do not want to be a conditional lover. But I am.
Then God whispered, “My child, all things you are not, I AM.”

*2 Corinithians 12:9* – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Time, Where Do You Flow?

Time, where do you flow?

An endless ocean, with no shore.

So where is it, that I go?

Forever being pushed by a current,

with no reason to set my sail.

No lighthouse for this vessel,

no dock for it to dwell.

Maybe my destination, is simply you.

To rest on your gentle waves.

Time, where do you flow?

Wherever the Wind may blow.

I’ll Be Here

Tired of searching. So God, I’m just going to sit in the middle of this field, and hope that.. You think I’m worth it, to join me, and have a conversation. We don’t even have to speak, I’ll be satisfied with your presence.

I’m tired of guessing. Walking through this school, which classroom is teaching your lesson? A church on one corner, a mosque across the street, and random men in white shirts and black slacks chasing me.

I kind of feel like that homeless man, standing outside, holding a sign, asking for change.

But, I’ll be here, in this field. Hoping you think I’m worth it, to join me, to have a conversation. Actually, I’d rather not speak. With just your presence, I’d be satisfied.
